5x7 Folded Card
Saturday, August 7, 2010

I am so looking forward to getting to spend much more time with ladies in our church, fun times with Adeline, Friday's off with Jeremy(a first!), and getting to take care of my house the way I would like. I will go back to meal planning that I have lost in this last year, regular more thorough cleaning and hopefully staying on top of the laundry more. Notice the word Hopefully:):) I would really like to focus on teaching Adeline more too. Just reading with her more, giving her a chance to play outside more often since she loves it so much!
All of this will be such a relief to Jeremy too! He is moving at a pretty fast pace these days and much of our time has been hurried and I'm not able to help him the way I would like. He is such a huge help to me but with his job and being in school full-time it can be exhuasting. I think it will really free him up to relax when he actually has moments free. I'm excited for that!
I thank God for this amazing opportunity!! It has come unexpectedly to me and I couldn't be more grateful!! Here's to a new season for our little family!

visitors
I wish I could see all my far away friends. I miss them so much, but vacation time and money stand in the way of the visits. There are many trips I'd like to take and I overwhelm my husband when I list them all:):) We will make our way through the list year by year, though, and then we'll start all over again since it will be time for another visit! Haha:)

neighbors...
This is Ella and Tanya with Adeline the day we got home from the hospital...so sweet!
It's all in God's hands and I trust him. He is going to bless them and show them his love like never before. I hope they see it!

Delicious meal to try
Baked Tilapia and roasted veggies. I put asparagus, a few mushrooms and a thinly sliced potato on a baking sheet (you can roast all kinds of veggies). Sprinkled on some seasonings (garlic powder, onion powder, salt and pepper) and coated them in olive oil. Bake at 400 for a about 25 minutes. Put some tilapia in between 2 sheets of tinfoil on a baking sheet and sprinkle with same seasonings and add some lemon juice, bread crumbs and a little butter. Tightly seal the foil so that it will kind of steam the fish. Put it in the last 10 minutes of the veggie baking time.
Voila! A delicious, quick and easy, and healthy meal!

Sunday
I'm excited for this coming week. I get to see another friend on Tuesday that I haven't seen in so long! Will be great to talk with her!
We did our taxes the other night and we will be getting enough back to pay off all of mine and Adeline's medical bills from her birth and some to save. This is such an answer to prayer! I am so grateful to God for making a way to pay all of this off so it is not hanging over our heads anymore. We can move forward with saving and giving more now! And, we have one last bill that is a bit high to pay off for Jeremy so we will be able to make bigger dents in it now. Not sure if everyone wanted to know our medical bill details...haha...but I don't mind sharing!

Today has been a great day! Working from home....and thinking about Adeline's dedication. Trying to plan a good restaurant to go to and I need to see if the dress Jeremy's Mom made for her will fit. If not, we may need to go shopping! Not sure where I'll find white dresses....and I'd like some pretty tights and booties and a bow of course to go with it!
I'm still recovering from being so sick last week. But, I'm much better and able to get everything done that I need to. I keep thinking,"How can I get my immune system stronger so I don't EVER get sick like that again?" Haha! I do want to be healthier, though! I'm always on a quest to find healthy things to cook and buy for us. But, I war with the overwhelming desires that come for dessert and yummy quick snacks too! Slowly but surely we make steps in the right direction. Even when we veer off the course, we don't get on a new course completely. We come back! That's good at least! :)
Well, bye for now!

We have a busy weekend ahead. Tonight Jeremy's dad is staying the night and Ashley S. is going to hang out with us so I'm cooking for everyone. In the AM we are going to Gabe's pancake brakfast fundraiser at Applebee's, then off to clean a house, and then to our neighbor's party at 4:30. Then, church and the crown class at 5:30. Lots of fun...I'll probably want to do nothing one evening next week to make up for it.
Be back soon hopefully with pictures!

We painted last Saturday/Sunday and we are moving in this coming Saturday! We are SO excited!

This is my first time, but I thought I would give this a try. You can post your weekly menus each monday and it reminds you to plan and gives you a chance to see others menus. Just go to orgjunkie.com to see lots of other menus if you want to check it out.
Well, this week there is some fasting going on in my house and we are working on moving into our new house this week/weekend. So, the menu isn't too exciting, but I wanted to start nonetheless.
Breakfasts: organic brown rice cakes w/peanut butter(they are actually good and filling), vanilla yogurt, and cinnamon tea w/Stevia
Lunches: out to eat some, tuna fish w/crackers or wheat bread, egg salad on wheat bread, string cheese, veggies
Dinners: Homemade chili, grilled chicken, mexican night at small group...need more quick ideas for this busy week.
Well, that wasn't too exciting, but I'm hoping it will motivate me to start planning more!

i just returned from Michigan on Sunday afternoon for Alicia's wedding! it was so wonderful because I was able to spend lots of time with her the few days before the wedding. we both couldn't believe it had been 2 years. thank goodness for phones...it seemed like not a day had passed since we had seen each other! she was a gorgeous bride and everything was perfect at the wedding! i can't imagine her wanting to change a thing! hopefully i can post pictures soon! it was fun getting to see old and new friends from teen mania too! i also loved getting to know her family so much more! it only made me feel closer to her! i love them a lot too now! i don't typically feel comfortable in new situations like that...i was staying at their house...and i often worry about imposing, but they made me feel welcome.
we are closing on a house on august 14th! so much is happening right now. we haven't even begun packing!! ahh!! we are excited! i am praying that the monthly payment turns out to be what we need it to be. please pray for favor for us as I am worried. gosh, it still feels like there is so much more i could update on, but i don't want to overload you! i'll be back soon:)
